October 16th last saw large group of us descend  on the Hunter Hospitality Academy on the Kurri Campus.

We enjoyed a great Morning Tea with our coffee and Tea plus a huge selection of mouth watering Morning Tea Treats

Like fresh baked Scones with Jam and tempting selection of  slices, caramel tarts  and sweet treats and for the health conscious celery and carrot sticks with delicious Hummus Dip.

After Morning Tea we walked a few paces to the Winemaking section and were given an extensive tour through the Wine Making facilities. Our guide explained the processes that

The students use from growing the grapes, on site, to the whole wine making process.

Following this tour we were able to taste some of the wines that were produced, a beautiful cheese and biscuit selection accompanied the tasting.

That done we headed back to the dining room, where we were  greeted with a glass of bubbly or soft drink, before we sat down to a delicious 2 course meal. The sweet trolley provided some serious temptation for many of us.

A great day was had by all with plenty of happy conversations and rather full tummies.
